Brown & Meyers Awarded Contract by County of Orange Health Care Agency in Southern California

Portland, Maine-based firm to provide medical transcription services, with plans to soon open branch office on West Coast

            PORTLAND, Maine (March 18, 2008) – Brown & Meyers has been awarded a contract by a Southern California health care agency, further cementing the Portland, Maine-based firm’s reputation as a national provider of transcription, document management and court reporting services, the company announced Tuesday.

            Brown & Meyers will provide medical transcription services to the County of Orange Health Care Agency, based in Santa Ana, Calif. The Maine company beat out a number of firms competing for a contract with an agency that provides a range of health and social services to a population of more than 3 million in Orange County.

            The contract runs for one year with the possibility of renewal for two additional years. Financial terms of the contract were not disclosed.

            Brown & Meyers also is planning to open a branch office in Southern California within the next year to meet the increased demand for services in that region of the country, according to Kate Meyers-Coyne, owner and founder of Brown & Meyers.
